Timna Tomiša (b. 1994), is a Croatian-born, Amsterdam-educated and Berlin-based film director, art director, and visual artist.
After completing her studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2017, she has been working as an independent film director on numerous shorts, commercials, editorials, and music videos.
From 2022 to 2024 she has been working as an art director for Mercedes-Benz during the day, while still passionately crafting her personal projects at night. Since 2025 she is working freelance across film and advertising.
With a very distinct visual style, her work focuses on the translation of human emotions and experiences into visual metaphors. Timna is a big fan of eye-candy visuals mixed a tinge of absurdism and a tiny speck of darkness, sprinkled with a lot of humor.
She is currently finishing her latest short film Jonas, developing an absurdist-horror short Reverse Cowgirl, and her first feature film Underground Barbie, an adaptation of the namesake book by the Croatian author Maša Kolanović.
Tomiša currently splits her time between Berlin, Vienna and Zagreb.
